Jompiy is The Bitcoin of Art. This site is its blockchain. Jompiy is cryptocuRency testnet. After extensive testing of different formats in Jompiy, format G was chosen for cryptocuRency.
Jompiy is created by Edgeworth Johnstone, aka The Camden Market Free Art Man.
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Bitcoin revolutionised money, so Jompiy did the same for art. This website (BitcoinOfArt.com) is the blockchain of the new revolution. Every Jompiy ever made is uploaded here, front and back photographed, authenticated, signed and numbered. Jompiy is fake-proof. Peer-to-Peer Art. No banks. No galleries. Like Bitcoin, starting out as a little known underground movement set to destroy the initial naysayers and reward the early birds switched on enough to see and act on its unique, inimitable potential in the face of the house-of-cards establishment. Got Jompiy yet? Blockchain authenticates, prevents forgery and excludes galleries and the other unnecessary middle-men from corrupting and controlling the market. Low edition numbers are being given out to the general public for free. Distribution centres around London include: outside Tate Britain and Tate Modern, Camden Market and Muswell Hill. They can also be bought online. Read the White Paper. Jompiy is an alias of Edgeworth Johnstone.

Jompiy is the Bitcoin of art. jompiy.com is its blockchain. My old mucker Ron Throop over in Oswego, New York State created Slumpu, arts Ethereum. ronthroopartist.com/slumpu is Slumpu’s blockchain. Jompiy and Slumpu are both divided into series by letter. Within each series, each work is numbered, front and back photographed, recorded and that ledger kept public online for all to see and independently store. No duplication, no opportunity for fakes. Early acquirers of Jompiy and Slumpu are rewarded with a relatively low edition number compared to latecomers. The quantity of Slumpu are limited by number. Jompiy’s quantity is limited by time. Jompiy are given away at Camden Market or air dropped on London buses and tubes in political protest against our social decline. If you get one, treasure it. Jompiy is part of The Camden Market Free Art Man political protest against expensive art.
